Finance Controls Business Partner
Glasgow

As a Barclays Finance Controls Business Partner, you will be working in a high profile, dynamic VP role, delivering and helping to develop the controls agenda for Product Control within Finance. You will work closely with the Product Control Senior Management team, the wider Finance CCO team and other senior stakeholders. You will require the development of close and trusted working relationships with the function and require an appropriate balance of championing commercial risk based decision making and independent constructive challenging.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Supporting Product control to make the best commercial decisions around change initiatives
• Driving the controls environment oversight in coordination with other global regions
• Leading the annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) of Product Control function globally
• Providing advice and support to other stakeholders outside of PC such as operations
• Providing a strong challenge to how the control oversight of Product Control is working
• Working with senior stakeholders to solve controls issues on a regular basis

What we’re looking for:
• You are a Certified Public Accountant (ACA/CPA) or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate at all levels
• Broad communication skills to manage multiple senior stakeholders
• Excellent ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Broad Product Control experience in Investment Banking
• proven Audit / Controls and Governance experience
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and governance within an Investment Bank
• Proven track record of Line management experience
