What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with managing gift funds to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Document procedural information for accounting tasks related to gift funds and operational accounting
- Participate in the Year-End Fact Sheet process to convert cash-basis accounting to accrual basis
- Review and complete supporting schedules for the university's annual Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) return
- Compile data and documentation for audit requests from external auditors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Accountancy or a related field AND two (2) years of professional-level accounting experience
- OR possession of current registration as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant, or a valid license to practice Public Accounting (LPA)
- OR a Master's degree in Accountancy or a related field
- Proficient computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Additional education, training, and/or work experience in an area of specialization inherent to the position
