What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical assistance and ensure accuracy of work produced by budget managers and financial analysts
- Plan and perform professional budgeting and finance activities in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Compile and analyze financial data to monitor trends and report on financial requirements
- Monitor fiscal budget-related activities, including funding requests and expenditures
- Evaluate and interpret financial data in response to special requests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be available and punctual for scheduled work shifts
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, or business administration from an accredited college or university OR Master's degree in business or public administration from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of federal and state government accounting and fiscal principles
- Experience in federal grant management
- Skills in analytical thinking and problem-solving
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with statistical analysis and theory
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn and apply complex concepts, policies, and procedures
- Proven ability to resolve problems with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with budget management and financial analysis
