What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct financial analysis, reporting, and compliance for federal workforce development grants
- Prepare federal financial reports and support audits related to funding
- Advise management and program staff on budget alignment and fiscal compliance
- Evaluate financial data, identify risks or variances, and implement improvements
- Monitor and ensure accurate financial planning and reporting in accordance with regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in any major with at least 12 semester (18 term) credits in accounting, finance, or economics
- Financial Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience required
- Financial Analyst 10: One year of professional experience in financial data analysis
- Financial Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience in financial data analysis, including one year at the Financial Analyst 10 level
- Ability to work in Michigan; relocation required for out-of-state candidates

- Experience with federal or state programs
- Familiarity with grant management systems
- Experience performing account reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous work experience in a government or public sector environment
