What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage monthly financial closings with detailed analyses of sales, costs, and expenses
- Create monthly summaries of financial performance and key performance indicators
- Perform quarterly analysis on travel and marketing expenditures
- Assist in preparing formal forecasts for corporate submissions using Anaplan software
- Enhance monthly reporting and business intelligence using software skills such as Microsoft Power BI
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a finance/accounting or analytical role
- Strong understanding of basic financial and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel (including vlookups and pivot tables) and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Anaplan, SAP, and ChatGPT
- Strong interest in the publishing industry and a passion for books
