      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Prepare specialized financial reports and documents, summarizing financial conditions and activities
      - Conduct financial analysis, monitoring and interpreting current and historical financial data
      - Prepare and monitor departmental budget reports, including budget variances and transfers
      - Maintain accounting ledgers and process all financial transactions for departmental activities
      - Respond to financial inquiries and provide technical assistance to departmental staff

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field
      - Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional level financial analysis or accounting experience
      - Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant laws and regulations
      - Proficient in financial reporting and budget planning
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
      - Valid Texas Driver's License
      - Experience with developing financial policies and procedures
      - Familiarity with automated systems relating to financial functions
      - Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
