What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and verify deposit documents, ensuring accurate batching and reconciliation of payments
- Post payments and adjustments in the computer system to maintain accurate account balances
- Analyze documentation to verify payments and adjustments, processing refunds when necessary
- Reconcile posted cash totals with hospital system reports, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation
- Continuously improve work processes and assist co-workers in enhancing their skills
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of one year of cash posting or related experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
- Ability to prioritize work and set goals effectively
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two years of banking experience
- Two years of experience in a Patient Financial Services Department or related area (registration, finance, medical office, etc.)
