      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Independently process invoices, reimbursements, and refunds in compliance with university policies
      - Maintain knowledge of UW-System regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance
      - Pre-audit invoices for proper funding sources, supporting documentation, and supplier information
      - Investigate and resolve discrepancies with departments and suppliers regarding payment status
      - Manage and oversee the integrity of the automated supplier file for the financial system

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or a closely related field
      - Minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
      - Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
      - Proficiency with financial software packages, including Workday
      - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure data accuracy and compliance

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or closely related field
      - Experience in higher education or governmental financial operations
      - Familiarity with tax reporting rules and regulations
      - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      - Ability to establish and maintain working relationships at all organizational levels
