      Remuneration: $106,142 – $125,241 per annum
      Hours Per Week: 38
      Location: Western Sydney Local Health District – District wide.

      What you'll be doing
      The Fire Safety Manager is responsible for fire safety systems, ensuring consistency in the development, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Fire Safety policies, procedures and programmes, ensuring compliance with NSW Health Policy Directives and Fire Safety Legislation. The position will also be responsible for:

      • Providing Practical Fire Training
      • Providing Practical Evacuation Training
      • Daily management of the Hot Works, Isolation of the Fire Systems, Impairments,
      • This is a District wide position, and the position will be required to move across the district to deliver services.
      • Daily management of Hot Works, Fire Indicator Panel and EWIS interactions, sprinkler system interactions, and other fire safety aspects

      Essential Criteria:

      • License: NSW Driver’s Licence
      • Qualification: TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and FSM – Fire Safety Manager (NSW Healthcare Facilities)

      Selection Criteria:

      1. Significant experience in fire compliance and safety management of a large portfolio of buildings
      2. Demonstrated experience with managing fire prevention systems including an understanding of legislative requirements and guidelines
      3. Experience in development of Fire Safety Plans and procedures, including Evacuation, Emergency Response and Training plans
      4. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Fire Safety, Engineering & Risk or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
      5. Experience in managing contracts, staff and budgets to ensure fire protection systems are maintained and operating
      6. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
      7. Excellent computer skills including, Outlook, Word and Excel
      8. Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of fire safety systems i.e. Hot Work Process, Isolation and de-isolation of Fire systems and other fire safety aspects.
