Job Description

- To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence.
- Plan and manage resource and effectively manage forecasted volumes.
- Responsible for Health and Safety on shift and driving a Safety First Culture.
- Previous experience as a people manager within a logistics environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
- Computer literate with a practical knowledge of Microsoft package - Teams, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports.
- Previous experience working on a Unionized site would be advantageous

Pay Rate: £34,000.00
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, rotational days (6:30am - 2:30pm) and afternoons (2:30pm - 22:30pm)
Location: Heywood (OL10 2TT)DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
