      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide expert budget support and technical assistance for the Fish Program and its divisions
      - Manage ongoing division budgets and financial operations, ensuring effective implementation of budgetary changes
      - Develop and implement financial monitoring tools and reports to assist in fund balance management
      - Prepare detailed budget and financial reports, addressing complex fiscal issues
      - Collaborate with program staff on federal grants and local contracts to ensure compliance and effective spending

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Six (6) years of professional experience in accounting, budget, finance, or public administration, including one (1) complete biennial cycle
      - Alternatively, six (6) months' experience as a Budget Analyst 3 and one (1) completed biennial cycle
      - A bachelor's degree in a closely related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience
      - Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant federal regulations
      - Proficiency in Excel, including analytical functions and data management

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - A bachelor's degree in business, public administration, accounting, economics, statistics, or mathematics
      - Intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and analytical models
      - Experience working in a Fiscal Office or Budget Office
      - Ability to conduct detailed analyses from both programmatic and fiscal perspectives
