      Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies and results-oriented projects with the ability to drive significant long-term solutions? The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is looking for an experienced and driven engineer with a passion for modernizing our processes across the program. This critical initiative, executed through the Chief Engineer's office, provides you with the opportunity to work with multiple program organizations, engage with our Enterprise process owners and collaborate with our Navy partners. You will focus on how we define, enable and adopt modernized processes to leverage our transition to a model-based enterprise and transform our operations.

      As the Process Lead for the FBM program, you will work in the Chief Engineer's office collaborating with multiple directorates on identifying, developing, releasing, and communicating modernized processes that contribute to the overall success of the program. You will be counted on to drive adoption and proper execution of program processes across all engineering related disciplines. Responsibilities for this position include:
      • Evaluating proposed process changes from the business area and/or program to ensure understanding of impacts
      • Managing technical services including tasks, work products, processes, and support
      • Coordination and integration with the Reentry Directorate to ensure proper flow down and use of program level technical and SE&I processes for Reentry specific tailoring and implementation
      • Coordinating and managing Missile specific technical services, including Design Reviews, Independent Review Boards, Residual Hardware Process, and Hazard Classification
      • Managing Missile common SE&I processes
      • Maintenance of the FBM Missile TPM [T9001B-27-01]
      • Supporting the Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Systems Engineering organization as it relates to driving Navy processes within FBM
      • Supporting contractual document updates that impact FBM processes and support flow-down to manufacturing due to the move of FBM manufacturing facilities.
      • Supporting the development, execution, and flow-down of model-based engineering (MBE) processes and governance that enables the transition to an integrated digital environment
      • Eliciting customer/stakeholder needs and requirements for process advancements on the program
      • Enhancing a culture of model-based development
      • Leading collaborative teams that include customer and industry partners
      • Manage the flow-down of Technical Design Review maturity criteria (previously Entry/Exit Criteria) in OD 71694 and incorporation into the FBM Technical Review Standard (EP9-069) • Experience in systems engineering development &/or decomposition and application of processes and methodologies
      • Previous experience implementing change to improve processes / Process Improvement experience
      • Broad knowledge and application of processes across engineering functions (e.g. analysis, manufacturing, test, system validation and verification)
      • Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations
      • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships
      • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
      • Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
      • Understanding stakeholder needs and defining appropriate solutions
      • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance • Experience leading systems engineering activities and processes
      • Experience working with Government customers
      • Experience working in an agile environment, including the use of Confluence and Jira
      • Experience with developing engineering processes in support of Digital Transformation & Model-Based Engineering activities
      • Ability to ensure that Engineering practices are being implemented on key programs in accordance with LM Space defined practices
      • Quick thinker, fast learner, proactive, problem solver, creative, critical thinking skills
      • Provides and develops solutions to a variety of technical modeling problems of varying scope and complexity
      • Willingness to travel for short durations as necessary to support program needs
      • Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program experience
