- Coach, mentor, and implement the HS&E programs in the field
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) providing guidance for DOT and OSHA-related compliance and leadership support to Senior Region Manager
- Ensure all incidents are reported immediately, thoroughly investigated, and partner with HR business partner on corrective action
- Partner with DOT Compliance Manager and Senior Region Managers to ensure timely completion of random drug/alcohol tests
- Hold regular safety meetings with regional employees while actively listening to the concerns of drivers
- Conduct safety inspections of facilities, vehicles, and equipment
- Regulatory knowledge or Driver Qualifications, Hazardous Material regulations, equipment requirements, or the ability to use PHMSA & FMCSA reference materials
- Experience in the transportation industry, ideally bulk-fuel transportation
- Class A CDL, tanker and hazmat endorsement or related experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and balance competing needs
- Relocation to Denver, CO area required
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned region

Starting at $67,100 DOE + Bonus Potential
Solar Transport is hiring a Fleet Safety Manager to support the Denver, CO region! This role will provide support to drivers by maintaining a visible presence in the field by auditing driver road performance, site risk assessments, equipment inspections, employee engagement activities, and identifying hazards to reduce risk.
