What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate weekly peer support groups to promote recovery support systems
- Assist clients in setting and achieving personal recovery goals
- Develop and implement Wellness Plans that address multiple dimensions of wellness
- Maintain accurate documentation of individual and group client interactions
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance support services for clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED completion
- Certified as a Mental Health Peer Specialist
- At least 2 years of personal recovery experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to build relationships with diverse populations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Mental Health Peer Specialist certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
- Experience with electronic records systems is a plus
- Familiarity with substance use and mental health challenges
- Innovative thinking and ability to embrace change positively
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with diverse populations
