      Job Description:

      The Foundation Event Manager role is one of the most dynamic events manager positions in the market. This highly visible leadership role is key within the Intermountain Foundation focusing on bringing development and contemporary event growth in support of significant children’s and adult health initiatives. This role will lead out on fundraising events across the one of the largest philanthropic footprints in the Intermountain West - inspiring multi-state participation for mission driven giving.

      Position Details:

      The Event Manager is a leadership role for the Intermountain Foundation with system-wide accountability comprised of three regions – Canyons (Utah and Idaho), Peaks (Colorado and Montana), and Desert (Las Vegas, NV). This position reports to the system's Vice President of Programmatic Giving and is responsible for leading and managing a multi-region events team, charged with executing well-coordinated, high-yield events that generate donor affinity and revenue.

      This role provides strategic leadership for a centralized events team responsible for successful implementation for varying event styles and attendee segments. To be successful, this position will need to keenly navigate the cross-functional structure of the Foundation to optimize the donor experience for desired outcomes. Accountable to plan and manage the daily operations within the parameters of the department and capital budgets. This includes, developing team accountability, coaching and mentoring, recognition and growth plans, and optimizing performance.

      The incumbent for this role will typically work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Some work on weekends, afterhours, and around weekends for holiday events will be required. The position could work hybrid, but would ideally be located in Salt Lake City. There are no on-call requirements, but calls from donors, volunteers, and caregivers happen beyond traditional working hours and would be expected to responded to as needed.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree is verified. Plus:
      • Six years of demonstrated experience planning, managing, and executing events.
      • Previous experience supervising others or leading teams or projects where results were obtained through working with others.
      • Strong project management skills with demonstrated detail orientation, timeliness, and ability to work under pressure, while managing multiple projects at once, working independently and providing key informational

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in direct foundation, fundraising, or non-profit work
      • Ability and experience leading a complex volunteer network. This includes both internal and external volunteers aligned for event success.
      • High level of flexibility and adaptability while remaining productive and solution-oriented.
      • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other CRM
      • Leadership experience

      The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

      $43.67 - $67.41
