      About the role:

      This role is responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic direction and decision making within the Franchises and Functions of Oceania:

      • Development and training of the forecasting framework, providing the high-level guidance to their business partners, ensuring an adequate level of quality detail to track activities to ensure the stated outcomes are achieved

      • Lead, develop and execute the brand planning discussion around optimised resource allocation to drive the best outcome following the PTRB Framework (Patient, Trust, Reputation, Business)

      • Drive the performance debate with Franchise and functional stakeholders by seeking out, leveraging and analysing external environment influences on the business, connecting this to internal data to develop meaningful insights

      • Lead the exploration, development and rollout of innovative automated reporting tools that will provide stakeholders with actionable instant insights

      • Identifying and reporting on leading and lagging KPI’s and proposing any corrective actions

      • Seek out opportunities to drive OPEX synergies and drive performance, as well as identify, flag and put forward strategies to mitigate risks

      • Providing Financial input and support for business cases and other ad hoc commercial projects

      How you will contribute:

      • Ensure all monthly management reporting and regional performance review requirements are met and delivered timely and accurately

      • Proactively provide finance business support for all financial forecasting processes which includes Mid month rolling forecast, MYC, MRP and LBE. This involves leading the development of tools and templates for the fast consolidation of financial input from relevant stakeholders and ensuring the correct information is uploaded in corporate planning system and communicated to regional team with concise and insightful commentary.

      • Drive the performance debate with stakeholders through the use of deep insights: analsying financial data & identifying key trends, to drive opportunities and mitigate risks that are presented

      • Providing financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making inclduing evaluting investment opportunities, conducting cost-benefit anaylsis, and assessing the financial impact of business initatives

      • Continuously improving on insights reports & processes ensuring they are automated and fit for purpose. This includes identifying insight gaps and leading the development of “kiosk” style automated reports for self service

      • Ensure stakeholders understand the core accounting principles so that all financial results are accurate and in strict adherence to the relevant accounting standards (particularly around accruals / provisions, rebates and incentives)

      • Provide financial support during the brand plan process particularly around the optimisation process to ensure the most effective utilisation of resources is planned, collation and consolidation of financials from each product into the brand plans

      • Develop and manage the annual Budgeting process, drive innovative thinking through the franchise / functional stakeholders and managing the timelines to ensure all milestones in the process are met timely

      • Support the business on the management and tracking of OPEX including partnering with franchises and functions to manage accruals whilst also ensuring an enterprise mindset is held at the forefront of all investment decisons

      • Lead the development of improved management information systems and corporate reporting and planning systems.

      • Partner / lead regional and global groups to drive innovation of systems and processes

      • Provide financial input into business cases and other strategic initiatives ensuring robust financials and NPV calculations by challenging assumptions and analyzing sensitivity of key variables in projects

      What you bring to Takeda :

      • An advanced understanding of applicable Australian and International Accounting Standards

      • High degree of data management (database design) and data analytics

      • Fluent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP and other business Tools

      • Pragmatic use of digital to build capability and provide deep market and customer insights that are valuable to portfolio management

      • Detailed understanding of accounting and business planning software and Microsoft Office programs (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)

      • Commercially astute and strong attention to details

      • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems and develop solutions particularly around management reporting. Ability to turn data into meaningful report is critical

      • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

      • Ability to work independently as well as in a small team environment

      Additional Information:

      Required:

      Relevant professional accountancy qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, etc.)

      Experience in similar FP&A position of at least 5 years

      Desirable:

      Multi-national company experience.

      Pharmaceutical sector experience.
