What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Responsible for daily operations including maintaining logs for the fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator
- Perform housekeeping duties and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment
- Operate heavy equipment including bobcat, forklift, front-end loader, and Lull
- Control power plant equipment both in the field and from the control room via DCS
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in assigned areas
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with operations and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site
- Valid Driver's License issued by the state of residence and in good standing
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous power plant experience
- Basic computer skills including email and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements
- Availability for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs
- Willingness to work rotating shifts on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
