      WHO ARE WE

      The Defense Mission Systems business provides equipment, solutions, and services related to electronic combat systems, surveillance and reconnaissance, naval combat, surface warfare, and underwater warfare.

      The Sophia-Antipolis site develops sonar systems for submarines and surface vessels, from underwater acoustics to the operator's graphical user interface (GUI).

      The GUI team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the operational GUIs for sonar operators. These GUIs are the eyes and ears of the submarines and surface ships.

      WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER:

      The submarine GUI team is looking for an experienced full stack tech lead with a strong React experience. As part of the submarine team, your responsibilities will include:

      • Actively contributing to the design of the software architecture of the sonar GUI component by supporting the software architect
      • Providing technical guidance to the GUI development team (up to 7 people)
      • Conducting preliminary studies to validate technical approaches and chosen architectures
      • Being a major contributor to the setup of the CI/CD pipeline for the component
      • Writing technical documentation (specifications/design)
      • Providing support to software integrators

      WHO ARE YOU

      Must have:

      • be able to travel to France frequently (1 month and a half in France during ramp-up period, then up to a week every trimester)
      • BE/BTech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer Science, or related;
      • Solid experience in web development (at least 10 years)
      • Solid experience in react (at least 5 years)
      • Solid experience in Java backend development (5 years)
      • Demonstrated technical guidance over a 5 people (incl. seniors) team for at least 3 years
      • Fluent in software configuration management (GIT/GITLAB/ARTIFACTORY/NEXUS)
      • Experience in writing software specification and design documents
      • Good communication skills
      • Experience in memory and CPU optimization and profiling

      Nice to have :

      • Experience with the Threes.js library and/or WebGL
      • Experience with developing functionalities with Electron
      • Knowledge in signal processing
      • Knowledge in real time software
