We are in search of our next “Magic Maker” at the following location:

      SodexoMagic is seeking a General Manager 3, a leader for our newly acquired Stillman College Dining Operations, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Stillman College is a liberal arts HBCU with a historical and formal affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), with a current enrollment of 766. The scope of our services will be the Resident Dining Operations,with plans to renovate and upgrade operations, and future plans for Retail offerings. The successful condidate will exemplifi knowledge and skills in Leadership, Customer Service, Operational Excellence, Innovation, Client Relations, Financial Acumen and Employee Relations. The ultimate goal is to enhance the experience for the students, faculty and staff at Stillman, as well as, support "The Stillman Way", which is....at the end of the day it is about being the best, doing the best and having the best.

      The successful candidate will:

      • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
      • deliver high quality food service;
      • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
      • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
      • develop strategic plans;
      • create a positive environment; and/or
      • ensure Sodexo standards are met.

      Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

      • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
      • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
      • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
      • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
      • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates.

      Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

      • have high volume dining management background in a similar environment – University dining, healthcare, large corporate businesses, etc. Experience in Sodexo management and processes preferred;
      • a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement, leadership skills, and being out on the floor – a hands-on management style;
      • have culinary understanding and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
      • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
      • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
      • demonstrate working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficient in computer skills and report management.
