- Financial acumen to analyze P&L, achieve operating budgets, CapEx planning etc.
- Manage labor productivity
- Submit financial forecasts
- Develop team of managers including Director of Sales, Assistant General Manager(s), Operations Managers etc.
- Collaboration with Director of Sales and Revenue Management to optimize revenue and market share
- Ensure guest satisfaction; problem solve and execute strategies to address common guest issues to improve guest satisfaction scores both online and within the brand.
- Ensure hotel maintenance and upkeep of the facility
- Represent the hotel positively in local business and community events.
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Select Service General Manager or Assistant General Manager/Director of Operations experience in a Full Service Hotel.
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in Hospitality Management and/or business and/or equivalent hotel management experience
- Knowledge of the Hyatt brand is a plus
- Good organizational and prioritization skills

The General Manager is responsible for achieving the hotel’s business goals: guest satisfaction, market share, and financial goals both in top line revenue and profitability. The General Manager serves as the strategic leader for the hotel developing the sales and operations teams, maintaining brand and Janko Hospitality standards, budget achievements, labor management, and day to day leadership.
