Meeting with various managers and team members – ensuring they have direction and support to work effectively
Running reports from the WMS (Warehouse Management System) to ensure managers have access to data on site performance
Manage the site to deliver key performance indicators (such as ensuring stock admin is focused on customer driven specifics)
Maintaining a site-specific continuous improvement plan
Conducing training need analysis, ensuring training is completed and records maintained
Be accountable for health and safety at site; making sure all colleagues have a safe environment to perform their duties
Be part of the project team to manage the expansion plans of our Bristol site
Experience of leading large teams through managers
Has managed conflicting customer priorities to deliver to productivity targets
Is comfortable working with data to support decision making
Can travel to either of the depot locations every working day
Experience of working in a multi-site environment
Previous experience in managing improvement and/or expansion projects would be highly beneficial

We support customers who keep our schools and restaurants stocked and supplied as well as working with many of the UK’s leading retailers.We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead across 2 sites and split their time between Bristol and Gloucester with over 80,000 pallet positions and 90 employees across the two locations; this location is a critical link between our 14 UK sites. Planning is underway to completely redevelop our Bristol site.
The role
You will take full accountability at both sites, providing direction to all departments and shifts to ensure we are providing a great service to our customers and meeting all their requirements whilst working safely, productively and in accordance with company working procedures.
You will engage and motivate teams and managers at site, ensuring that we are creating a strong performance but also a rewarding culture for our employees.
