- Manage the sites leadership teams achieving operational delivery performance and adherence to all company and customer/site KPI’s
- Liaise and build rapport with the customer to allow for collaborative working and the defining of shared goals and objectives
- Lead the change management on site, with a focus on CI, health and safety
- Maintain effective and open communication links positively encouraging teamwork
- Significant experience in fast moving logistics environment, previous grocery experience would be ideal!
- Strong financial acumen - you’ll be accountable for a multi-million-pound budget
- Ability to coach and develop senior managers along with experience of managing trade union relationships
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with exposure to project management, driving change and implementing a CI culture

Here at GXO we are recruiting for a full time, permanent General Manager to lead one of our prestigious, Waitrose sites in Leyland, PR7. You’ll be responsible for leading and delivering the strategic vision within a customer-facing role, with a big focus on continuous improvement.
Even though you'll be contracted to Monday - Friday, this is a 24/7 operation and you’ll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours – no two weeks are the same, this is logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a base salary of up to £90,000 per annum, along with a generous car allowance and the company bonus scheme. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) per annum, as well as the option to buy additional days.
