- Serve as the business owner and strategic lead for IMO Health’s life sciences vertical, with full accountability for growth, roadmap, and delivery.
- Identify and validate high-value use cases where IMO’s clinical terminology and data products can enhance RWE, observational research, safety surveillance, and health economics studies.
- Lead strategic planning for new solution development tailored to life sciences customers, including pharmaceutical and biotech companies, CROs, and RWE vendors.
- Act as senior scientific oversight in RWE projects using retrospective or prospective data, including but not limited to comparative effectiveness studies, treatment patterns and healthcare cost and utilization studies, post-authorization studies (PASS), real-world data landscaping and feasibility studies, and development of evidence generation plans for biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
- Partner with product management, engineering, and data science teams to define and execute solutions that enable better use of structured EHR data for research and analytics.
- Bring deep domain expertise in RWD, RWE, and non-interventional study methodologies to shape product decisions and customer engagements.
- Translate scientific and market requirements into scalable products and partnerships.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with life sciences organizations to understand evolving needs in real-world evidence generation and align product strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with commercialization, marketing, and sales teams to drive adoption, shape messaging, and support customer acquisition and retention.
- Represent IMO Health in key industry forums, conferences, and partnerships within the RWE ecosystem.
- Lead growth in collaboration with subject matter experts and business developers, by connecting to clients and leading proposals.
- Build, manage and mentor a strong, proactive team. This includes hiring and training staff and developing internship and training programs.
- Influence and direct a high-performing cross-functional team aligned to product, data, and go-to-market goals in the life sciences space.
- Own success metrics including growth, market penetration, and product performance KPIs.
- Ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and privacy frameworks relevant to life sciences data use.
- Master’s or PhD degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Data Science, , or other relevant scientific field. MBA, MD or PhD highly desirable.
- 10+ years in product leadership strategy roles, preferably within life sciences organizations.
- Deep understanding real-world evidence methodologies or health economics.
- Proven experience bringing data or platform-based solutions to market within or in partnership with pharmaceutical or biotech companies.
- Strong business acumen combined with product and scientific fluency—able to move between customer conversations, product strategy, and technical detail.
- Experience working with or building solutions based on EHR/clinical data, structured terminology or clinical workflows is a strong plus.
- Proven record of leading a variety of RWE studies (retrospective and/or non-interventional prospective studies) and experience with advanced epidemiological methods (e.g. target trial emulation).
- Excellent knowledge of US RWD sources (e.g. contents, quality, process to data access) including administrative claims, electronic health record databases, registries and ability to make recommendations on fitness for purpose for specific RWE studies. Knowledge of non-US databases would be a plus.
- Thorough understanding of formal guidance on RWE methods by regulatory and reimbursement bodies and trending methodologies.

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic, growth-minded General Manager, Life Sciences to lead our life sciences vertical—focused on scaling IMO’s presence across pharma, biotech, and research organizations. Reporting to our CEO, this is a unique opportunity for a product-savvy leader with deep experience in real-world data (RWD), non-interventional trials, or RWE to shape how structured clinical data powers next-generation evidence generation and post-market research.
You’ll be responsible for defining the product vision, partnering with cross-functional teams, and leading go-to-market strategy—all while acting as the internal and external champion for our life sciences solutions.

\n$185,000 - $260,000 a yearCompensation at IMO Health is determined by job level, role requirements, and each candidate’s experience, skills, and location. The listed base pay represents the target for new hires with individual compensation varying accordingly. These figures exclude potential bonuses, equity, or sales incentives, which may also be part of the total compensation package.
