Job summary
We are seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead Care Group 3 (which includes Childrens services both acute and community, Maternity, Pharmacy, Outpatients, womens health and much more).
You will report to the Director of Operations and the Care Group Director, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to drive high standards of quality care. You will be part of the leadership team for the care group contributing to the ongoing ethos of delivering excellent care to our local community.
Your leadership will contribute to the development and implementation of the Care Groups service strategy, annual plan and the day-to-day operational management to ensure the standards of clinical care, delivery of key performance indicators and continual development of improving productivity and efficiency. This post leads large and complex portfolios of services. The post holder will be pivotal in delivering national access standards.
The role is aimed at experienced senior operational leaders in the NHS and who bring significant acute and community experience. We would like to hear from people operating at a senior level, as well as ambitious and experienced leaders who are ready for the next step forward in their careers, with a desire to be part of an exciting future facing organisation with an energy and passion to drive forward change.

Main duties of the job
You will be able to lead a clinical and non-clinical team with, courage and respect and drive with care for our patients and colleagues at the forefront of your approach.
Working within the team of General Managers you will have a peer network for support, along with direction from the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations. Your input and skills will be essential in shaping the overall patient focused service that we are proud to deliver at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. Line management for the General Managers is via the Divisional Directors, (DD) but the successful applicant will be expected to manage the day-to-day operational service supporting the Care Group Director in developing strategy and improving services.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable operational management experience extensive health care knowledge and experience the ability to manage complex organisations, and able to develop positive relationships across hierarchies and professions.
