JOB SUMMARY:

The General Manager position is a vital leadership role that will ensure Monarch Mountain runs efficiently and properly from the ground up. They will oversee a team of 3-5 Directors who lead their teams in ensuring an amazing experience for all visitors. We are seeking a visionary leader with at least 5+ years’ experience in ski resort management to lead our diverse team. The right candidate will be committed to carrying on the Monarch legacy while also developing a strategy to lead the mountain into the future. Applicants must be financially savvy with the ability to manage a complex budget which includes year-round capital projects.

Our current General Manager, who has been with the mountain for 24 years (10 years as the GM), will be staying on one more season to train and mentor a successor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Age: 21
• Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
• A valid Driver’s License, and a good, company insurable driving record is required.
• Background check required.
• Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.

JOB TYPE: Year-Round

COMPENSATION:

• Begins at $165,000 annual salary (commensurate based on experience)
• Up to $75,000 +/- annual bonus
