      We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join the business at our site in Worksop to lead a warehouse operation.

      We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

      • Lead and manage a project to build a warehouses, ensuring all programme governance is applied and all engagement with Customers at a senior level is satisfied including contractual and commercial considerations.
      • Responsible for the full build programme with our PM community and in developing and growing the site, building a strong partnership with all Customers. Accountability for recruiting, building, leading, and developing a high performing team.
      • Provide leadership and direction to the site operational team.
      • Set the business strategy ensuring that the site operates to the highest possible standards of safety, service, and quality in all areas and always.
      • Responsible for the profitability of the facility by identifying and developing profitable revenue streams for DHL on an ongoing basis.
      • Work closely with the customers' senior management, to effectively manage the local relationships and to meet and exceed the customers' expectations.
      • Direct the daily, weekly and monthly activities; providing training, development and motivation to the workforce in safe environment and make DHL a great place to work
      • Ensure successful delivery of DHL performance metrics and support the development of the site including growth, new solutions and services.

      • Extensive General Manager experience along with experience in managing complex closed book commercial arrangements - essential.
      • Experience of working within a supply chain environment -essential
      • Experience of managing warehousing, and co-packing operations at a senior level - essential
      • Experience of large-scale projects with particular focus on designing and developing operational processes in startup situations - essential
      • Self-motivated individual able to demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a senior team with matrix structure reporting lines – essential.
      • Demonstrable record of building and developing teams, driving high performance, and engaging with colleagues at all levels – essential.
      • Exceptional and demonstrable record of delivering against targets - essential.
