What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the Geo Teams Program by setting strategy, developing systems, and implementing initiatives focused on equity and sustainability
- Build and maintain strong community relationships through authentic engagement and collaboration with marginalized voices
- Serve as a primary contact for community stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and elected officials
- Coordinate across various departments to translate community feedback into actionable transportation plans and projects
- Supervise and coach a team of community-focused ambassadors, upholding the values of equity, sustainability, and safety
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in planning, urban design, environmental studies, or public administration
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in planning and research related to urban development or related fields
- Proven ability to build and lead multi-disciplinary teams, especially in public sector or community-centered settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex policies into actionable insights
- Current Washington State driver's license or equivalent mobility required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, program management, or community development
- Two (2) years of direct people management experience, including leading teams or supervising staff
- Master's degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, with experience advocating for historically underserved communities
- Multilingual or proficiency in a language other than English
