      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Revise the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's Anadromous Waters Catalog (AWC) and perform spatial edits
      - Review and process nominations, update metadata, and produce digital maps and data layers for statewide use
      - Provide GIS support through mapping services, data analysis, and technical assistance to staff
      - Collaborate with a small team to develop solutions for various tasks and projects
      - Participate in fieldwork, which may include exposure to animals, inclement weather, and the use of firearms

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Valid driver's license required
      - Minimum education in geographic information systems (GIS), data collection, cartography, computer science, geography, or related field
      - Experience in analysis and assessment using information technology for data management
      - Knowledge of geospatial science concepts, principles, and methods
      - Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate responsible behavior

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with ArcGIS software, including ArcMap, ArcPro, and ArcGIS Online
      - Familiarity with editing, managing, and maintaining spatial datasets
      - Proven ability to work on complex mapping issues and deliver high-quality results
      - Training or certifications in First Aid and CPR
      - Previous experience in a role involving geospatial data analysis or cartography
