What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, curate, consolidate, cleanse, and enrich geographic information from multiple sources
- Implement ETL processes and develop map layers for various GIS products
- Provide GIS services, including data collection, map layer creation, and analysis
- Collaborate with GIS team members and clients to deliver valuable market insights
- Support other teams across the company with GIS-related tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience using GIS software such as QGIS and ArcGIS
- Proficiency with ETL tools like Alteryx or FME, as well as model building tools in GIS software or Python
- Strong research skills with a track record of delivering data insights and actionable recommendations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Degree qualified, preferably in Geography/GIS or a related field with experience in Geographic Information Systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with PostGres and GeoServer
- Familiarity with demographic data, road traffic data, and general mapping
- Knowledge of mobility data or connected car data
- Understanding of digital road networks such as OpenStreetMap or equivalent
- Action-oriented mindset with the ability to see the big picture while being detail-oriented
