What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, configure, and support custom GIS applications and tools for asset management and transportation systems
- Perform geospatial and statistical analyses, integrating and transforming datasets to meet business needs
- Design, test, and maintain ESRI GIS environments, including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and Server
- Write and optimize code in Python and SQL for data management, analytics, and automation
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate analytical results into actionable recommendations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5-10 years of custom GIS development and asset management experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ESRI GIS software, including ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal/Server/Desktop
- Strong programming and analytical skills, particularly in Python and SQL
- Expertise in database design, data quality control, and spatial analytics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or Transportation/Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Preferably 2+ years supporting railroad or transit industry projects
- Experience with visualization and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Familiarity with transportation and transit systems, preferably large-scale networks
- Knowledge of KPI creation, data modeling, and reporting automation
