      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collect, analyze, and visualize geospatial data using tools such as ESRI and Google Earth
      - Manipulate and process GPS and GIS data to produce charts and graphs displaying geographic trends
      - Interpret and report GIS data for both scientific and non-scientific audiences
      - Supervise, train, and mentor GIS staff while managing workloads and delegating responsibilities
      - Conduct fieldwork, including hiking up to 10 miles across tundra to gather high-quality data

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master's degree and two years of research experience in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
      - Minimum of four years of experience in GIS and GPS
      - Valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with employer criteria
      - Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro
      - Ability to hike a 10-mile transect while carrying a 35 lb pack

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Current FAA small UAS Pilot Certification
      - Graduate degree in a relevant field
      - Familiarity with GIS programming/scripting languages
      - Experience with remote sensing platforms and analysis
