What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain and update GIS fiber network data using platforms like ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Digitize and edit vector data to meet project-specific standards and ensure spatial accuracy.
- Create basic network maps and reports to support planning, permitting, and engineering phases.
- Transform and tailor geospatial data from public sources for project needs.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and GIS teams to meet deadlines and maintain standards.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3+ years of GIS experience with a certificate or degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in telecom fiber network mapping and design, or similar.
- Proficient computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be self-driven and able to work independently.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Familiarity with geoprocessing tools and data integrity checks.
- Previous experience in a telecommunications-related role.
