What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain and update GIS fiber network data using platforms like ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
- Digitize and edit vector data to ensure spatial accuracy and meet project standards
- Create basic network maps and reports to support planning, permitting, and engineering phases
- Transform and tailor geospatial data from public sources for project needs
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and GIS teams to meet deadlines and maintain standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3+ years of GIS experience with a certificate or degree in GIS, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in telecom fiber network mapping and design, or similar
- Proficient computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Self-driven and able to work independently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with geoprocessing tools and data integrity checks
- Experience with field audits, as-builts, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of collaboration tools used in project management
