What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and update customized maps, diagrams, exhibits, and reports for elections
- Edit and analyze spatial data while researching and compiling relevant information
- Update GIS data layers and maintain web map applications during election cycles
- Develop simple macros and applications using GIS software
- Coordinate with staff to obtain pertinent data and manage precinct boundaries
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years of sub-professional or professional GIS experience
- Knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics
- Ability to perform mathematical computations and analyze data effectively
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License
- Familiarity with automated drafting techniques and survey principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of GIS, automated mapping, land surveying, geography, cartography, or computer science coursework from an accredited institution
- Experience working with Esri's ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap
- Understanding of ModelBuilder, VBA, and Python programming
