      Role Overview

      The Global Bid Manager will work as part of a successful high performing team focussing on small, medium and large new and renewal bids. Using strong business writing and editing skills to bring to life the Bupa Global Value Propostion, demonstrate our understanding of the client’s requirements and the difference we can make to workplace health and wellbeing.

      What you’ll do:

      • Working with the Global Bid Team Manager, Sales Leads and / or Client Managers globally, to produce high quality bids and pitches to support new business and renewals opportunities.
      • Working on small, medium and large new and renewal bids, in addition to supporting with client engagement activities such as RFIs, PQQs and pitch presentations as required. This may include providing direction to the Bid Coordinator for tasks assigned to them and also with input from the accountable Account Manager and/or Sales Lead.
      • Developing project plans, win themes and solutions for new business and renewal activity, with oversight/guidance provided by the Global Bid Team Manager on all larger, more complex or strategic opportunities.
      • Using strong business writing and editing skills to bring to life the Bupa Global Value Propostion, demonstrate our understanding of the client’s requirements and the difference we can make to workplace health and wellbeing.
      • Responsibility for driving the process to agree a regulatory, compliant and deliverable solution in order to meet clients requirements and ensuring relevant internal sign offs are obtained.
      • Acting with integrity and a customer focus to ensure all bids are compliant, accurate, on brand, tailored to a customer’s needs and are easy to evaluate.
      • Collaborating with subject matter experts from all areas of the Bupa Global business (including those in different timezones), including engaging the skills of the wider Market Engagement Team where necessary.
      • Ensuring that Pricing Product, and Legal are engaged by Sales/Client Management as required and they are aware of deliverable and timelines.

      What you’ll bring:

      • Well organised and ability to work to deadlines.
      • Have a passion for writing, with copy writing experience obtained in a business development context.
      • Ability to assimilate and condense complex information quickly, recognising the important issues.
      • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
      • Familiar with copywriting styles best suited for long and short form documents and best practices for digital activity.
      • Can demonstrate understanding of proposition development and the role of client insights in the bid process.
      • An enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Collaborative and proactive to actively coordinate and support the new business process.
      • Comfortable with engaging people at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
      • Good interpersonal skills, personal gravitas and ability to develop business credibility
      • An understanding of the role of writing and editing so that bid responses are heavily tailored to ensure they are customer and solution focussed.
      • Experience of driving a bid process – preferably within to an APMP best practice framework.
