      YOUR DAY IN THE LIFE

      As the Global Events Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategy and planning, executing and overseeing global events, ensuring they align with our brand and business objectives. From high-profile industry conferences and product launches to intimate roundtables, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our global presence and fostering meaningful connections with clients, prospects, partners and stakeholders.


      ABOUT YOU

      • Strategic event planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive global events strategy aligned with company objectives, ensuring events contribute to brand building, lead generation, and relationship management.
      • End-to-end execution: Oversee all aspects of event planning, from concept development and budgeting to event promotion, on-site execution and post-event analysis. Events may include virtual, hybrid and in-person panel discussions, webinars, networking events and roundtables.
      • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of events into overall company strategies, collaborating on themes, messaging, and promotion (including drafting event posts, internal communications and social media material). Assisting with the design, production and distribution of all promotional materials relating to events and writing and proofing copy for a range of marketing platforms & materials including websites, social media, emails and brochures.
      • Vendor management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with event vendors, AV teams, and other third-party suppliers.
      • Logistics and operations: Coordinate logistics, travel, accommodations, and on-site operations to guarantee a smooth and flawless event experience.
      • Budget management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI measurement.
      • Technology integration: Leverage technology tools and platforms to enhance event experiences.
      • Post-event evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to measure success, gather feedback, and make recommendations for continuous improvement


      REQUIREMENTS

      • 5 years of experience in global event management at a B2B services company, with a proven track record of successful large-scale events.
      • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Experience using a website CMS (preferably HubSpot)
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent written skills.
      • Budget management experience.
      • Proficiency in event management.
      • Flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
      • Located in South Africa (preferred locations: Cape Town, Johannesburg)
