      What will you be doing


      The Head of Fiduciaries, Crown Dependencies will lead the largest segment of the Crown Dependencies business. The team delivers substantial revenue which is projected to grow significantly over the next 3 years. It services some of the most valuable clients in Barclays providing these clients with a full range of banking and Investment solutions.

      They will be the leading face to this significant market, where we see a genuine opportunity to build upon our existing market leadership. The Relationship teams are supported by specialists covering Investments, Cash management and Treasury services. The role-holder is responsible for coordinating this array of capability for the benefit of clients. Working with the MD of Crown Dependencies, the Head of CD Funds, and the Head of Family Office & Local Markets teams, the role-holder will need to drive the overall balanced scorecard and performance of the Crown Dependencies business.

      The primary purpose of role is to create a growth strategy and to ensure this is executed consistently across the business to drive business performance of the Fiduciary segment, across all areas of the scorecard through:
      • the leadership and Performance Management of the local leadership team;
      • a close working relationship with the Head of the Crown Dependencies and other client Segments and specialist sales teams
      • establishing long-term, internal and external, relationships that are effective across the local markets to drive delivery of the respective strategies and establish opportunities for further growth.
      • the ongoing maintenance and development of the Fiduciary proposition. This requires an ability to influence senior stakeholders across Barclays Group and to create compelling business models for growth.


      What we’re looking for

      • The role holder will be required to have an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of key issues facing the Fiduciaries industry and the offshore environment and the challenges it faces.
      • They will need a deep understanding of investment products and services and an understanding of the markets within which CD business operates.
      • Previous experience of risk management and corporate governance is required.
      • A good knowledge of the propositions products and services provided to our client base will also be required.
      • The job holder will be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of business disciplines such as sales, marketing, finance and people management.
      • The role holder will require a good understanding of credit risk and operational risk management principles and of key principles for new business generation.
      • The individual should be able to demonstrate experience in leadership, project management and drive implementation of cultural change.

      Skills that will help you in your role

      • A high-quality degree level education and a first-class general academic track record is desirable as are professional banking or investment qualifications.
      • Investment qualifications at a high level are desirable.
