      Who Are We Looking For?

      As the Global Head of Human Resources for SSGA and a member of State Street’s Global Human Resources & Corporate Citizenship (GHR-CC) leadership team, you will manage a global team of experienced HR professionals across various disciplines with responsibility for setting and executing SSGA’s overall human capital strategy. This includes a focus on maximizing employees’ potential, ensuring the ability to attract, develop and retain the right talent, overseeing the employee experience and shaping its culture. You will serve as a key advisor to the President and CEO of SSGA and partner closely with the executive team and senior management to ensure that HR’s priorities align with the strategic and human capital objectives of the business as well as the human capital objectives of State Street.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • In partnership with the appropriate Global Human Resources Centers of Excellence (GHR COE) develop a global talent strategy and execute multiple initiatives to drive business success, with a focus on attracting, retaining and developing talent and leadership, aligning the organization and incentives, manager training, succession planning, engagement and overall employee experience
      • Provide advice, coaching and counsel to SSGA’s CEO, executive team and senior management individually and as a team, with a keen ability to balance employees wants and business needs
      • In partnership with Human Resource leadership team colleagues, lead a variety of enterprise talent related priorities including learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and diversity, equity and inclusion
      • Manage a cross-functional HR team of resources globally, that include Global HR Business Partners and a dually-managed team of HR COE representatives (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Learning, Employee Relations)
      • Maintain a pulse on the employee experience and monitor how well SSGA compares to its peers in the areas of culture, compensation, work-life balance and employee well-being, and identify and/or initiate programs to ensure that SSGA remains competitive
      • Provide HR subject matter expertise in such areas as organizational design, acquisitions, integration, etc.
      • Serve as highly engaged member of SSGA’s Executive Management Group (EMG) and Operating Group
      • Serve as senior GHR representative for SSGA’s external client engagement activities

      Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

      • 15+ years of progressive HR experience in HR strategy development, organizational development, compensation and/or talent acquisition within a large and dynamic organization.
      • Strong business and financial acumen with deep experience in the investment management industry
      • Expert in setting and executing HR strategy aligned with business goals
      • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and engage with stakeholders in a functional HR organization
      • Proven communication, consulting, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills
      • Strong evidence of emotional intelligence, curiosity, flexibility and teamwork
      • Ability to handle issues with potential client, reputational and expense related impact
      • Proven ability to build strong relationships with all levels of management and employees globally
      • Ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment and act as a point of connection across various parts of SSGA and State Street
      • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational psychology or related field

      Salary Range:

      $225,000 - $337,500 Annual
