- Program Support: Support strategic planning, implementation, and advancing the small business team’s learning agenda. Conduct research, draft summaries, and create charts/visuals/decks. Coordinate meetings, events, announcements, release of research and other activities related to BG&E programming. Support communications strategies, including development of talking points, collateral, and related materials
- Grant Portfolio Management: Coordinate grants administration by communicating with nonprofits, tracking grant status and reporting, coordinating budgets and timelines, collecting required documents, tracking correspondence and processing funding. Track and review grant portfolio to ensure grantmaking deadlines and impact goals. Utilize grants management system) to process and request grant applications and related documents. Synthesize, detail and organize learnings across the portfolio to help the team assess the impact of its work and promote continuous learning and communications activities. [SJ1]
- Special Projects & Communications: Support the team on special projects as assigned. Provide logistical event management, summaries, and recap support for key events and initiatives. Work with communications team on major events, announcements, release of research and other activities. Support meetings and convenings, team agenda development, progress and follow-up, and share and reflect on experiences, best practices/evaluation, and related program activity.
- Bachelor’s degree desired, or comparable professional experience
- 5-7 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment , philanthropy, corporate, or non profit experience a plus
- Act with urgency, initiative, and ownership to drive results
- Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and independent decision-making; ability to plan, manage and follow through on projects independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort delivering presentations
- Results-oriented with a commitment to establishing and executing on goals, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
- Ability to navigate a highly-matrixed organization
- Mastery of core Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint
- Experience with Salesforce-based systems a plus.
We are currently seeking a Program Associate to join the JPMorgan Chase Global Philanthropy Business Growth and Entrepreneurship (BG&E) team. The BG&E Program Associate supports commitment to increase the success and resilience of underserved businesses by expanding access to capital, customers, and connections. Working within a team structure, this role will support strategy design and implementation, grantmaking, and learning and insights, while helping to communicate best practices with senior stakeholders, and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders and partners.
