- Develop a 3-5 year strategic plan to realize category strategy targets for the following categories: Real Estate, Facilities, Security, Furniture and Office Supplies.
- Support major category programs within a multi-year plan including end-to-end process optimization, industry and market analysis as well as recommendations within a spend category
- Drive compliance and adherence to category strategy within a matrix environment.
- Assist in the definition and creation of a preferred supplier program.
- Robust business partnering with regions and sites to ensure category compliance.
- Engage functional business owners and budget owners to infuse category strategy within enterprise business roadmaps.
- Support and deliver financial objectives of the business, category, and overall enterprise goals.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage sourcing initiatives across all major business units within Takeda. Recommends procurement strategy and leads across the enterprise sourcing efforts.
- Serves as lead negotiator on behalf of Takeda for business terms related to key supplier contracts.
- Maintains an understanding of category trends, multiple markets and changing business models connected to a broad spectrum of goods and services that directly influence the profitability of the business.
- Leads industry analysis, interprets information, and translates into actionable strategies.
- Independently manages all sourcing activities and methodology including definition of user requirements, analyzes spend and supplier usage patterns, conducts supply market analyses, develops the category sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation and selection and benefits tracking process for Takeda.
- Develops KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), cost savings targets, and metrics. Evaluates suppliers against those requirements by establishing and maintaining contractual and business relationships with suppliers, monitoring contract compliance. Manages supplier performance utilizing supplier scorecards and continuous improvement plans in collaboration with the Real Estate and Facilities Center of Excellence.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing role, with hands on exposure on Real Estate, Facilities, Security & Office Supplies categories.
- Education to degree level, or combination of education and work experience
- Proven experience in the Facilities environment with demonstrated ability for complex commercial and contractual negotiations, competitive market analysis, and ongoing supplier performance management/scorecards.
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong contractual knowledge and negotiation skills
- Understanding of and experience in contract law and applicable legislation
- Global travel up to 5%

This role focuses on the progress of category strategies that define the Indirect Procurement Real Estate, Facilities, Security, Furniture and Office Supply categories and how they will be managed, including defining procurement channels, purchasing policies, and supplier relationship management.
