- Pursue sales leads, visit existing and prospective customers, and assess their needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Respond to customer inquiries, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and finalize sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- Build and nurture strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term loyalty.
- Manage distributors to ensure they effectively supply, sell, and promote Barry Callebaut’s products.
- Coordinate trade marketing and technical activities between distributors and Barry Callebaut.
- Foster Chef-to-Chef relationships and engage with Chef Associations to build brand awareness and identify new opportunities for product usage.
- Establish and execute sales plans (annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly) to meet objectives and prioritize activities accordingly.
- Collaborate with the regional marketing team to create and execute marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Complete office-related tasks, such as managing the Salesforce platform, price lists, and weekly sales activity reporting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Sales & Marketing.
- Fluent in English and Greek (written and verbal).
- 3+ years of experience in Sales, preferably within a multinational FMCG company.
- Familiarity with the chocolate or gourmet industry is a plus.
- Strong commercial skills, including presenting, negotiating, and discussing business strategies.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new sales and marketing approaches.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen and impactful presentation abilities.
- High emotional intelligence and professional conduct.
- Location: Athens, Greece (Hybrid work model).
- Travel Requirement: 60%+ travel.

About the role:
As a Gourmet Sales Manager, you will play a vital role in promoting Barry Callebaut’s portfolio of premium chocolate products to customers in Greece. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, chefs, and key players in the gourmet segment, such as confectioners, pastry shops, bakeries, restaurants, and hotels.
You will oversee the restructuring and optimization of distribution channels, acquire new clients, and work closely with the regional marketing team to execute impactful strategies that strengthen Barry Callebaut’s market position.
