      Job Purpose

      To use innovative, differentiated and data driven recruitment strategies, aligned to the Nedbank Young Talent strategy and business needs to attract, assess and secure young talent under the two flagship programmes:

      • The Nedbank Chartered Accountants (CA) Training Programme and;
      • The Nedbank Quants Graduate Programme.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Manage the recruitment, assessment framework and selection process for new graduates and trainees that delivers on Nedbank’s transformation targets and leverages transformation as a competitive advantage.
      • Act as a trusted adviser by building and maintaining credible relationships when engaging with stakeholders individually and in cross-functional forums (internal and external).
      • Develop and maintain relationships with university student offices and faculties, creating awareness of the Nedbank Group and promoting career opportunities within Nedbank Specialist Training Programmes.
      • Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.
      • Stay abreast of developments in field of young talent, ensuring personal and professional growth.
      • Facilitate and provide oversight of overall programme initiatives and projects.
      • Research, develop and implemented innovative ideas and solutions around the graduate programme, adding value to Nedbank.
      • Ensure that expenses are within the recruitment and marketing budgets.
      • Identify risks or issues and mitigate appropriately by alerting Head: Specialist Training Programmes.
      • Adjust recruitment offerings to be on par with competitors.
      • Oversee the general administration for STP.
      • Develop an operational plan for graduate intake.
      • Improve business processes and systems.
      • Develop and implement succinct and innovative marketing/awareness campaign that attract key talent and enhance the Nedbank brand.
      • Develop new sources/channels for attracting high-performing graduates.
      • Track recruitment practices and create and provide detailed reports.
      • Integrate the Nedbank Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and Employer Brand into the Graduate Recruitment strategies and processes.
      • Enhance the EVP and target employer branding more effectively while continuously checking for relevance.
      • Manage performance of graduates/ direct reports and hold them accountable for managing the performance on their projects by implementing performance agreements and ensuring a clear vision.
      • Manage the SAICA administration for the CA Training Programme.
      • End to end project management (along with the necessary risk mitigation) of the various STP initiatives and projects.

      Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

      • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

      Preferred Qualification

      • Honours degree in Human Resources or a related field

      Preferred Certifications

      • Project management
      • Event planning and coordination

      Minimum Experience Level

      • 4 -6 years relevant HR experience, at least 4 of which must be specifically with recruitment experience within the young talent field.
