      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide advanced technical grants accounting support, including budget spreadsheets and complex financial questions
      - Complete grant reports, fiscal reconciliations, and conduct compliance research
      - Monitor and maintain financial transactions for various grants funded by federal, state, and local sources
      - Process accounting adjustments, journal entries, and manage grant provider invoices
      - Collaborate with management analysts to create contract modifications and ensure fiscal compliance

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Four years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years in grant accounting
      - Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting applications, and grant regulations
      - Ability to analyze complex problems and prepare written reports
      - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
      - Experience working directly with diverse communities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous experience with human services programs and nonprofits
      - Familiarity with local government operations and BARS (Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting System)
      - Strong customer service and communication skills
      - Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
