      OVERVIEW:

      The Manager will be responsible for compliance with all grants – federal, state, local and private. This includes an understanding of federal and state regulations while ensuring organizational policies and activities comply with guidelines and recommend appropriate action to effect compliance where necessary. In addition to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of new and existing grants and contracts, this position will assist with financial functions, facilitate grant administration and ensure accountability that all deliveries are met.

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Develop a comprehensive compliance program for all grants and contracts. Review of grants and contracts, producing reports for funders, monitoring expenditures and tracking of contractual deliverables and ensure the helpline meets all agreed-upon objectives prior to due dates. Reviews and prepares responses to State Action Requests (SAR).
      • Work with Assistant Vice President, management team and finance staff in tracking monthly expenditures related to grants and contracts; ensure expenditures are allowable and within grant/contract guidelines. Prepare and submit invoices and reports to funders and partner agencies including submitting invoices and reports to Area Information Centers (AICs) for which we have contracts to provide after-hours call support.
      • Support annual audit on grants-related documentation. Understand the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) Accreditation Program and ensure the program’s organizational compliance meets expected practices and standards.
      • Develop and implement quality assurance processes as required and in compliance with contractual agreements and industry best practice. Ensure 211 compliance with Quality Assurance standards set by AIRS and the Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN). Conducts and attends meetings to provide information, enlist support, resolve issues and plan/coordinate acclivities.
      • Answers 211 calls to maintain familiarity with current caller issues and concerns; respond to special Campaign information and referral requests. Participate in relevant professional organizations and committees and represent United Way at key events to increase awareness of 211 Texas/United Way HELPLINE. As an essential employee may be required to work extended hours and/or times other than usual.

      Experience

      Required 2 years

      Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working with grants, including grant compliance management, reporting, writing, or development; Additionally, minimum of 4 years of experience in direct social services, preferably in a government or nonprofit organization.
