What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for guests
- Review clinical documentation and determine the necessity of prior authorization
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and document authorization processes
- Research and resolve authorization denial reasons to maximize claim reimbursement
- Communicate effectively with providers, team members, and clients regarding project status
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of registration and authorization experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of CMS guidelines, insurance guidelines, and coding policies
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
