      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Code and abstract inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS codes
      - Ensure accurate assignment of MS DRG for proper hospital reimbursement
      - Query physicians for clarification on ambiguous information to maintain coding integrity
      - Collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Improvement team to ensure accurate chart documentation
      - Maintain productivity and quality standards while adhering to organizational values

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma or GED; graduate of an AHIMA Accredited Health Information Technology program
      - Valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification or equivalent
      - Minimum of three years of hospital coding experience
      - Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and PCS code assignment, MS DRG, and APR DRG reimbursement methodology
      - Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Inpatient coding experience
      - Familiarity with 3M encoder and computer-assisted coding (CAC)
      - Risk Adjustment Coding microcredential or AAPC's Certified Adjustment Coder (CRC)
