What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process claims via data entry for 90% of your workday
- Adjudicate claims effectively to meet production, quality, and regulatory metrics
- Follow up on claims requiring additional information
- Refer complex claims to a Lead and/or auditor for further review
- Ensure information integrity is maintained in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong typing skills, with a minimum of 40 words per minute on typing test
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a medical office setting, with knowledge of insurance, claims, billing, or coding
- Must maintain a clean and distraction-free work environment with reliable internet connectivity
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medical Billing and Coding degree/certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and various types of insurance (Medicare/Medicaid and/or Child Plus)
