What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process medical record requests, including insurance requests, subpoenas, and more, in accordance with policies
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information following HIPAA regulations
- Document information accurately using multiple platforms and manage patient health records
- Respond to inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins as needed
- Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and assembled in standard order
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize general office equipment
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare environment or previous production/metric-based work experience
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- In-person customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
- Comfortable suggesting process improvements and providing feedback to internal stakeholders
