What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to align with state content standards for each student
- Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to achieve student goals
- Educate parents on instructional strategies and prepare necessary documentation
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and proctor required testing for students
What is Required (Qualifications):
- State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Bachelor’s Degree and an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web applications
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to pass a required background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience
- Master's Degree with an emphasis in Special Education
- 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education
