What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for healthcare data exchange and interoperability
- Design and validate HL7 message structures for integration between EMR/EHR systems and other healthcare applications
- Lead and manage integration projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
- Create detailed functional specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Troubleshoot HL7 message issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors and internal teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare IT
- Proven experience with HL7 standards and healthcare integration engines
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and interoperability standards
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with EHR or EMR systems such as SmartCare, Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
- Knowledge of other healthcare standards (X12, CDA, CCD)
- Project Management experience, with PMP or similar certification preferred
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
